PSX games for PSP

There are many ways how and where you can get free already converted PSX games for Sony PSP. What exactly is psx and how can it be played on your PSP? PSX games are Playstation 1 games that we can convert so it can be played on our PSP's, I will teach you how to convert a PS1 game at the bottom of this article.

One and the best ways to get a free psx game is by searching through search engines or specifically Google. Just type in the name of the game you want and add megaupload, rapidshare or adrive after the name Ex. "Crash Bandicoot PSX megaupload" below was the result.

When you go to the result page the file appears to have not been converted into an EBOOT.PBP yet. Now in order for us to be able to play PS1 games on our PSP we will need to convert it first to an EBOOT.PBP now you might ask what is EBOOT.PBP the answer is I do not know but this is a file format from Sony that contains different files which composes the game itself it includes sounds, images, codes and many more.

These are the steps in converting a PS1 game into an EBOOT.PBP:
1. Download POPSGui Beta 3.00 | Mirror
2. Download the PS1 game you want to convert or better if you have your own PS1 disc.

Note: If you downloaded a PS1 game, it could be on different image formats Ex. iso, cue, img , bin, mdf are the one's supported by POPSGui Beta 3.00 if the image you have is not listed above then you need to make a way to convert it into one of the list.

3. Open PopstationGUI.exe and Click on Browse...
4. Select the game image.
5. You can change how the game would look when put on your PSP, this is done by customizing the ICON0 and PIC1 of the game. (I will cover this next time)
6. Now click on Go... at the bottom.
7. Once done it will ask if you want to transfer the game to your PSP.
8. Click yes and make sure your PSP is plugged on your computer.
9. Before playing the game make sure your PSP is on a Custom Firmware like M33 or any GEN version otherwise it will not work.
